A lot of Leeds United fans have been voicing their thoughts on Twitter following the latest announcement to emerge from the Yorkshire club.

On Tuesday afternoon, Leeds confirmed the departure of left-back Leif Davis on a loan deal to Championship side AFC Bournemouth.

Should Leeds have included an option to buy for Davis?

The Yorkshire club stated the deal was an initial loan but with the option to make the move permanent.

Davis made two appearances for the first team under Marcelo Bielsa during the 2020/21 Premier League campaign, which saw him come on as a substitute against Manchester City and Manchester United (via Transfermarkt).

Leeds fans flocked to the tweet from the club’s official Twitter account to share their disappointment at the news to emerge regarding the 21-year-old’s future.

What exactly did these Spurs fans have to say?

“Baffled by the option to buy.”

“So we have lost 2 LBs this summer. If Dallas is the reserve LB, then we desperately need a CM. Very surprised by this”

It was in Leeds’ U23 side where Davis has enjoyed the most game time, with 12 appearances in their Premier League 2 Division Two title success last term.

Going by the reaction of these Leeds fans, it seems there are some who are pleased he is going out to get some more game time, however, the option to buy has not gone down well at all.
