Leeds United fans are reacting to the latest news and rumours surrounding the Lilywhites.

This comes following Kalvin Phillips’ agent’s comments, which were shared on Twitter by James Marshment.

Phillips’ agent, Kevin Sharp, has suggested that more clubs may be more interested in the midfielder now that he is proving himself on a stage such as the European Championships, however, Kalvin ‘is happy at Leeds and has no desire to move.’

Leeds fans were quick to respond to the tweet…

“Phillips will be sold if a big bid comes in, Champions League football and tripling his wages will be too tempting”

“I think he will be given better contract and deservedly so”

“Very refreshing that an agent is not out to tout his client about just because it would make him money.”

“Listen up big 6. Kalvin is ours. You are not having him EVER.”

Deserves a big contract to put him at the top of the #LUFC wage bill. No doubt now that he starts for any side in world football.”

Judging by the comments, Leeds fans never want to see Phillips leave the football club and are rather happy after seeing the agent’s outlook.

Phillips has caught the eye of many during the European Championships, particularly during England’s first game of the tournament against Croatia, where Phillips produced a man-of-the-match performance and assisted Raheem Sterling’s winner, but anyone who watched Leeds last season may argue that his performances in the Euros are a mere formality for the 25-year-old.

Phillips was an important player for Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds side, who finished ninth in the Premier League last season. The ‘Yorkshire Pirlo’ played 30 games in all competitions for Leeds last season, playing centre-back in 2 of those and as a defensive-minded midfielder in the other 28.

With Phillips ‘happy at Leeds’, it’ll be interesting to see if the Lilywhites try and tie Phillips down to a new deal, like some of the Leeds fans on social media are calling out for.
