Fulham fans have been reacting to a photo that has emerged on social media of forward Aleksandar Mitrovic.
Last season was certainly one to forget for the Serbian, starting only 13 of the club’s 38 games in the Premier League as he didn’t quite fit into the system that manager Scott Parker wished to play, and as a result, he saw his goal return in all competitions drop from 26 to 4.
On top of that, he also had the infamy of missing the crucial penalty for his country as they missed out on Euro 2020 qualification.
But it is all change now at Fulham with the appointment of Marco Silva as the new boss, with the Portuguese tactician reportedly a fan of the 26-year-old, so hopefully he’ll be able to get things back on track this season.
And when the club’s official Twitter account posted a photo of Mitrovic back in training ahead of the new campaign, there were plenty of fans on hand to show their excitement at seeing him getting prepped for the season:
“The look of a man gunning for 20+ goals this season.”
Will Mitrovic score 20 goals this season?
The reactions here are pretty unsurprising when you consider his record in the second tier for Fulham has been vital in seeing them getting promoted twice in recent years, and if they want to get back at the first time of asking once again, he may well have to play a pivotal part once again.
