Everton could sell Yerry Mina this summer to raise funds for Brighton’s Ben White, claims the club’s former defender Michael Ball.

According to the Daily Mail, the Toffees are interested in signing White, though they face competition from Arsenal.

It is likely to be an expensive deal, however, with the same outlet stating that suitors are looking at £50m if they want to get White out of the Amex in this transfer window.

Bearing that in mind, Ball believes a Mina sale could be a possibility in order to bankroll the move.

“Centre-half is probably not Everton’s priority, but it looks like we are going to be bringing somebody in and it looks like people will have to move out,” the retired full-back said in an exclusive interview with TIF.

“If you look at Yerry Mina, Colombian, probably more of a well-known player. Everton probably can demand a good fee for him, move him on to pay for Ben White.”

Mina has been linked with a Goodison Park exit this year. Back in May, Football Insider reported that the 26-year-old was keen on moving to Italy amid interest from Napoli, so perhaps he could be sold to increase the transfer budget.
