The Athletic journalist has tipped Wilfried Zaha to do a U-turn and sign a new contract despite making it clear he wants to leave the club.

Like in the summer of 2019 and 2020, Zaha has told Palace he wants to depart and challenge himself in European football.

The winger, who is enjoying his second spell with the Eagles having returned to the club from Manchester United in 2014, has made his stance public after another impressive season.

Will Wilfried Zaha sign a new contract?

Zaha scoredĀ 11 goals in 31 appearances last term and appears to be on Arsenal’s wishlist this summer.

However, the 28-year-old remains on Palace’s books and is firmly in Patrick Vieira’s plans following his appointment as manager earlier this month.

Palace chairman Steve Parish hasĀ confirmed Zaha will only be allowed to leave the club if an offer meets their expectations, but Woosnam believes there is a chance the international will finish his career at Selhurst Park.
