Wilfried Zaha will be keen to work with new Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira, claims former Premier League midfielder Carlton Palmer.

Vieira arrives at Selhurst Park with Zaha’s future at the club once again in doubt.

According to Goal, both Tottenham and Everton are keen on him, while the Ivory Coast international has made it clear he is ready for a new challenge.

With Vieira now in the dugout, though, Palmer thinks Zaha could be tempted to stay and play under one of the legends of the game.

Can Vieira take Zaha to another level?

I think Wilfried Zaha will be keen to work under Patrick Vieira,” the ex-Leeds United player told TIF in an exclusive interview.

“That might be one less problem for Palace. He’s a fantastic football player and you wouldn’t want him to leave the football club, so bringing Patrick Vieira in might just keep Wilfried at least until the next transfer window.”

A new era at Palace, perhaps it is worth Zaha staying for a bit longer and seeing what direction the club is heading in.

Interest from the likes of Tottenham and Everton in this transfer window is yet to materialise into anything serious either, so an exit certainly does not look like an inevitability.
