Football journalist Fabrizio Romano has been speaking on his latest Twitch stream to discuss all things transfer related.

One of the biggest transfer stories doing the rounds at the moment regards Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish, with reported interest coming from Manchester City.

Will Grealish leave Villa this summer?

The England international is currently enjoying a well-earned break after his efforts in this summer’s European Championship, however, it is believed City have now opened talks for the 25-year-old.

Reports of City’s Grealish talks come amid their believed interest in potentially adding Harry Kane to their squad this summer following the departure of Sergio Aguero.

However, speaking about Grealish’s future, Romano has the following to say on the matter.

“I’m told that in the coming days, the situation will be clarified.

“And so we will know about the situation for Jack Grealish, because it’s true that Manchester City are talking with Aston Villa to sign the player, but it’s not done yet.

“And Aston Villa are prepared and are offering Jack Grealish a new deal, a new contract, in case he will stay at the club.”

TIF Thoughts on Grealish’s future…

This is not the news Villa fans will want to hear ahead of the upcoming 2021/22 Premier League campaign.

Villa have already added to their attack with the signing of Emiliano Buendia from Norwich City and have been linked with the potential addition of Leon Bailey – which may only add to the Grealish speculation.

The 25-year-old has played a huge role in Villa’s time in the Premier League over the course of the last two seasons, with 14 goals and 18 assists for Dean Smith’s side (via Transfermarkt).

Grealish has been loyal to Villa following reported transfer interest from Tottenham Hotspur in the past, however, is this the summer in which the midfielder leaves his boyhood club?
