West Bromwich Albion fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest transfer claim to emerge concerning the Midlands club.

This comes after Baggies news Twitter account @WBAReport shared a post on their page relaying news originally published by Bristol Live.

The article claims that West Brom “remain keen” on signing free agent Famara Diedhiou, despite several clubs recently dropping their interest due to his reported excessive wage demands.

This post then gathered a lot of replies from a number of Baggies fans who were not shy in sharing their thoughts on this latest claim.

So, what did these West Brom fans have to say in response to this claim linking the club with Diedhiou?

Some fans were quite pleased by this news.

“Would be a great signing”

@thefullmontyb91

“ITS STILL POSSIBLE FOR THE DREAM IVE BEEN HOPING WND PRAYING FOR SINCE THAT 0-3! WIN VS BRISTOL CITY THE WORLDS BEST STRIKER”

@WbaOllie

“Very similar to diagne, however has acc scored 14/15 goals in championship. Go for him”

@ArjunKang5

“Good signing”

@ftblchaz

Others, however, were not too keen to see their club potentially make a move to sign Diedhiou this summer.

“No avoid him”

@BaggiesTom1

“Can’t see big Val being interested in anyone who is lazy.”

@Alan4NewportSal

Looking at the replies to this post, it seems as though the idea of West Brom signing the former Bristol City striker this summer is something that would please the majority, though a couple of fans are against the idea.

Would you take Diedhou at West Brom on a free transfer?

Yes

Yes

No

No

In our view, given how the 28-year-old only managed to score eight goals in 40 appearances for Bristol City in the Championship last season, perhaps he is not the ideal signing for West Brom to make this summer to help them gain promotion back to the Premier League.
