West Bromwich Albion fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest transfer news to emerge concerning former Baggies loan star Okay Yokuslu.

This comes after West Brom-focused Twitter account @WBAReport shared a post relaying news on their page originally published in an article from Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo (via Sport Witness).

The article claims that La Liga side Celta Vigo are prepared to sell Yokuslu this summer with Premier League side Crystal Palace reported to be interested in signing him.

The article also claimed that the Spanish club have set a transfer fee of €6 million (£5.1 million) for the midfield man, who has been linked with the Baggies since the conclusion of last season.

This post then quickly grabbed the attention of a lot of Baggies supporters, who were not shy in sharing their thoughts on the matter.

So, what did these West Brom fans have to say in response to this transfer claim about Yokuslu?

“Should absolutely look at this, perfect man to cover Mowatt bursting forward from midfield.”

@ItsSamson2

“5 million??? GET HIM IN”

@WbaOllie

“5m for a player like him is a steal. He would fit perfectly into our midfield”

@tyrellb04

“If this is true we should be 100% all over this, was class whilst we had him, absolutely tear up the Champ”

@sarah_Wbax

“Signing of the summer if this happens”

@DirtyDiaganna

£5M I’d be all over this man. He’s literally like glue for our team, holds everything together and is the reason we played class football under SA at times. Should be playing for a Prem club but snap him up if you can @WBA no excuses.”

@ArjunKang5

Looking at the replies to this post, it’s clear to see that these West Brom fans think their club should do their best to try and sign Yokuslu again this summer on a permanent basis after hearing the reported transfer fee Celta Vigo are apparently looking to get for him.

Do you think West Brom should try and sign Yokuslu this summer?

Yes

No

No

Given how Yokuslu ended the 2020/21 season as West Brom’s joint-highest-rated player alongside Matheus Pereira with an overall rating of 6.96/10 according to WhoScored, despite only arriving at The Hawthorns in January, it’s understandable why these Baggies fans think the club should try and bring him back to the club permanently this summer.

However, with Palace reportedly interested in signing him, perhaps the fact that they are in the Premier League and West Brom are in the Championship could possibly sway Yokuslu to move to Selhurst Park over a potential return to The Hawthorns.
