West Brom fans have been on social media, reacting to the latest news and rumours surrounding the Baggies.

This comes following the club’s tweet regarding the news of a new contract for young goalkeeper Josh Griffiths, who has signed a contract extension keeping him at the club until 2025.

Judging by the reactions from West Brom fans, they have been left ecstatic at the news that the 19-year-old has committed his future to the Baggies.

Griffiths spent last season out on loan at League Two champions Cheltenham Town, where the young goalkeeper impressed, keeping 23 clean sheets and only conceding 45 goals in 50 games for the Robins.

There have been suggestions that Cheltenham would be interested in re-signing the 19-year-old on loan as they prepare to embark on life in League One and there have also been reports of interest from Lincoln City, Portsmouth and Darren Moore’s Sheffield Wednesday.

However, with new Baggies boss Valerien Ismael saying that he expects Albion’s No 1 Sam Johnstone to depart the club this summer, Griffiths could find himself going up in the pecking order at The Hawthorns, which should delight these supporters.
