West Brom fans have been reacting to the latest news and rumours surrounding the football club.

This comes as Baggies-focused Twitter account WBA Report relayed a claim that Bartley was subject of interest from Newcastle United and Crystal Palace.

This information comes from The Telegraph’s Mike McGrath, who explains that West Brom may look to sell Bartley for £3million as the player has only a year left on his contract.

Fans were quick to respond to the news with their thoughts…

“The centre of defence has been a problem for the last two years. Definitely sell not good enough.”

“Let him go. Good commitment and great header, bit positionally dire. (Thus the worst ‘goals against’ in the Premiership… with an International keeper!!!)”

“Not an Ismael player, but should just offer him a new contract”

“Not saying we will, but big mistake if we do #wba”

This would make some sense, Bartley’s terrific in a deep block but in a high press, high block side he may be easily exposed. Cashing in and bringing in a more suitable replacement may the right move I reckon #WBA

Judging by the reaction from Baggies fans, many would allow Bartley to leave, believing that he wouldn’t fit the tactics of new manager Valerien Ismael.

The 30-year-old Stockport-born centre-back signed for the Baggies in 2018, and since joining, Bartley has played 105 games for the club in all competitions, including featuring in 30 of West Brom’s 38 Premier League games last season.

It remains to be seen whether the centre-back will remain at West Brom under Valerien Ismael in the Championship next season or whether he will get a move, but with Palace and Newcastle reportedly interested, Bartley may favour a move back to the Premier League.
