Sheffield Wednesday fans have been reacting to the latest news and rumours surrounding the Owls.

This follows Sheffield Wednesday’s first pre-season game, which ended in defeat as the Owls lost 3-1 to Celtic despite going ahead in the early stages through Josh Windass.

Sheffield Wednesday writer for The Sheffield Star, Alex Miller, posted a picture of the players, captioning it ‘snazzy.’

Fans were clear to pick up on this noticing that the kit the players were wearing was not the same as last season’s home strip…

Judging from the replies, Sheffield Wednesday fans really aren’t impressed by the kit that the Owls players were wearing for their friendly.

Luckily for Owls fans, having seen the reaction, Miller quickly followed up the tweet to say that it isn’t the shirt for next season and instead, it is merely just a ‘pre-season get-up’.

This came as a relief to many Wednesday supporters with one fan tweeting in response to Miller, ‘good because it’s absolutely awful’.

It appears that there may be better news to look forward to with regards to their 2021/22 kit.
