A lot of Sheffield United fans have reacted positively on Twitter to the latest transfer link.
It has been reported in the print edition of The Sun on Sunday (25/07/21, P62, via Football League World) Slavisa Jokanovic is looking to bring in Harvey Elliott from Liverpool on a season-long loan deal.
What do you think should happen to Elliott this summer?
Send him out on loan again
Keep him in the squad for next season
Elliott was at Fulham during Jokanovic’s tenure as manager, and the Serbian was the one to hand Elliott his senior debut, which came in a 3-1 victory over Milwall in the Carabao Cup in September 2018.
Many Sheffield United fans appeared ecstatic on Twitter over the Elliott links.
What have these Blades fans had to say?
“Praying that’s true”
“Now this is a rumour that I hope comes true”
“Game-changer”
“Oh my god that would be unreal”
“Make it happen”
“I beg this happens, would be a great transfer”
Elliott spent last season on loan at Blackburn Rovers as he managed to fire in seven goals and register 11 assists over 42 games in all competitions for Tony Mowbray’s side.
It may not be a straightforward deal for the Blades to complete, as Jurgen Klopp has claimed during pre-season that the club are wanting to ‘make the next steps’ with Elliott.
Whether that means another loan in the Championship – as these Blades fans hope is the case – remains to be seen.
