Sheffield United fans have been reacting to the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding the Blades as they were handed an update on the future of Sander Berge.

This comes after Sheffield United-focused Twitter account The Bladesman relayed a claim from journalist Alan Nixon, which suggested that there is an Italian side who are interested in the midfielder and hope to be able to bring him in on a loan deal with an option to buy.

This was picked up on by fans of the Blades, who were quick to share their feelings on the latest update…

“Pay the release clause or don’t bother getting in touch, it’s as easy as that…”

Judging by the reaction to the update, Blades fans would be completely against this deal, with them not being too keen on the idea to allow Berge to leave this season and not gain any money for him.

Berge has been heavily linked with a move away from Bramall Lane following the Blades’ relegation to the Championship after finishing bottom of the Premier League last season.

The 23-year-old faced an injury-plagued campaign, which required him to have surgery that saw the Norwegian miss 21 games of the season, and this may have an effect on a potential move away, with previous reports suggesting the Blades want his release clause of £35 million to be met if he is to move away from Bramall Lane this summer.

Will Berge, who has experience in the Champions League from his time in Belgium with Genk, be sticking around with the Blades in the Championship next season, or will he get a top move?
