Sheffield United fans have been on Twitter reacting to the latest news and rumours involving the Blades.

This follows the news that two Championship sides are keeping their eye on Luke Freeman’s situation at Sheffield United, as reported by Darren Witcoop, who claims that the two clubs monitoring Freeman are Bournemouth and Stoke City.

United-focused Twitter account The Bladesman relayed the news, which gathered a number of responses from fans of the Blades…

“Unless someone of real quality or a specialist number 10 is coming in, we simply can’t let Freeman leave! This lad has been a key player in the Champ for years, Jokanovic could get that kind of form out of him no problem.

Judging by the responses to the tweet, Blades fans are hopeful that Freeman is in Slavisa Jokanovic’s plans for the new season and remains at Bramall Lane.

Freeman joined the Blades in 2019 from Queens Park Rangers but spent last season away from Sheffield United as he was allowed out on loan to Nottingham Forest, who finished 17th in the Championship.

The 29-year-old attacking midfielder, who also played both on the left and right wing at times last season, played 25 games for Forest across all competitions, scoring once, during a defeat to Bristol City.

It is clear from the replies, though, that many Blades fans are hoping that Freeman sticks around with them in the Championship.
