Many Leeds United fans flocked to Twitter as reports have emerged that Daniel James could finally end up at Elland Road this summer.

With the reported imminent arrival of Jadon Sancho at Manchester United, it appears that James will be pushed down the pecking order next season and a move away could be the best option for him.

Will Leeds finish in the top six next season?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

It has been well documented that in January 2019, Leeds thought they had signed James from Swansea City, only for the Welsh side to get cold feet and pull the plug on the deadline day deal but according to the Scottish Mail on Sunday, they may be about to swoop in for the winger once again, as was reported in their print edition [June 11, page 129].

A lot of Leeds fans have flocked to a tweet from @lufc_utd_news who relayed the news to them on social media:

What have these Leeds fans had to say on potentially signing James?

“I’d take him – with a bit of tlc and bielsa work with that pace he could be unplayable”

@ronaallleeds

“I think Bielsa could work miracles with this lad got pace to burn”

@stevemaher34

“I’d take him at 15m, because I do think Bielsa would make him amazing. I wouldn’t pay anymore than that tho, there’s better options out there”

@lufcJoe_

“He would fit in brilliantly”

@Asa1992Scott

“Yes please”

@lufcrumham

“He’s got the key ingredients, now all he needs is the cherry aka Marcelo Bielsa.”

@LSdadbod1980

James enjoyed a rather successful first campaign at Old Trafford registering seven assists and netting four times but last season was more frustrating with the winger being handed just six league starts from January onwards.

Leeds have had some odd players over the last ten years but how well do you remember them. Starting with the most recent one, who is this?

If Marcelo Bielsa was to bring James to Elland Road it would create an even more scary attacking lineup with more pace being added to the already great to watch Jack Harrison, Raphinha, Patrick Bamford and Rodrigo.
