Leeds United fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest transfer claim to emerge concerning the Yorkshire club.

This comes after @lufcfanzone shared a post relaying comments made to their outlet from the agent of FC Metz attacker Farid Boulaya, who has been linked with a move to Elland Road in recent weeks.

Leeds' all-time top Premier League goalscorer is Mark Viduka but how many did he score?

Boulaya’s agent said that they “do not deny the links” between the player and Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

This post then quickly grabbed the attention of a lot of Whites supporters, who were not shy in sharing their thoughts on this latest claim.

So, what did these Leeds fans have to say in response to this claim about Boulaya?

Decent player. Can’t go wrong at the price. #lufc

@Brandon7Yates

“4.5 mill could be a right steal”

@OJPeer

“It’s happening siuuuuu”

@Alexcooper173

“Get this done then go big and get Damsgaard too.”

@leethomas101

“It’s happening then. Looks a baller”

@DanHamm08951803

“What we thinking? Pablo replacement. He’s not a number 8, neither is he young, so are we potentially getting this guy because of the price? Quality player reminds me of saiz”

@Lufc_Anderson26

“I think it’s a great transfer from what I’ve read and seen, if only for the fact the guy is versatile and provides cover for a few spots. That plus he’s tricky in a way we don’t have now and at 4 mil it leaves plenty of money for one or two more pricey faces. Take him”

Looking at the replies to this post, it seems as though these Leeds fans would be very happy to see their club sign Boulaya this summer.

Given how Boulaya ended the 2020/21 Ligue 1 season as Metz’s second-highest-rated player according to WhoScored with an overall rating of 7.22/10, with six goals and eight assists to his name, it’s easy to see why these Leeds fans would be happy to see the player join their club this summer.

In our view, with Leeds saying goodbye to Pablo Hernandez at the end of last season, perhaps Boulaya could be the player to take Hernandez’s place in Bielsa’s squad moving forward.
