Leeds United fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest transfer news to emerge concerning their club.

This comes after @leeds_utd_news shared a post relaying news published in a tweet from journalist Alan Nixon saying that Leeds are looking for players like Rangers winger Ryan Kent this summer.

Leeds' all-time top Premier League goalscorer is Mark Viduka but how many did he score?

Back in April, Nixon wrote an article for The Sun claiming that the Yorkshire club are interested in signing the winger this summer.

This latest post then gathered a number of replies from Whites supporters who were not shy in sharing their thoughts on this latest claim.

So, what did these Leeds fans have to say in response to this latest transfer news about Kent?

I don’t understand why Leeds are always Interested in signing Kent, it’ll never happen + we don’t need him. #LUFC

@ConnorMOT92

“Really? They will want the same if not more than we paid for Raph. I’d offer what we did last time and Chuck in a couple of loanees”

@Sy_Robo

“Nooooooooooooo”

@TonyGoo51910248

“Boring — be very surprised”

@colinpbrooks

“Oh stop, wasn’t good enough in Championship certainly not now, don’t get why this pops up every season???”

@NuttallEdward

“Don’t want him”

@langelmessi2

“He’s going to be the Ray Parlour transfer saga for this generation…”

@SuperLeedsUtd5

Since arriving at Rangers on loan from Liverpool in the 2018 summer transfer window, the 24-year-old, who is currently valued at £12.6 million, signed to the Scottish club on a permanent deal in 2019 and has managed to score 27 goals in 128 appearances (per Transfermarkt).

Do you think Leeds should sign Ryan Kent this summer?

Yes

Yes

No

No

Looking at the replies to this post, it seems that these Leeds fans are not feeling particularly positive or interested in potentially seeing their club make a move to sign Kent this summer.

Although, Nixon did appear to suggest that the Whites’ interest in Kent may have passed – though a player of his type certainly seems to be one that they admire, so it may not be surprising if they end up developing that interest.

In our view, with Leeds recently securing Jack Harrison on a permanent deal from Manchester City, perhaps potentially signing Kent as well this summer may not be the most necessary move from the club.
