A lot of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to voice their thoughts at the latest transfer claim to emerge regarding the Yorkshire club.

According to Bild (via Sport Witness), Leeds are yet to pay RB Leipzig €21m (£18m) for Jean-Kevin Augustin and have 21 days to lodge an appeal and then a further 10 days to provide their reasoning.

Augustin played for the Whites in their final season spent in the Championship and the report states Leeds had a mandatory clause to buy the player if they were promoted to the Premier League.

However, it is said Leeds refused to pay up for Augustin despite securing their spot in the Premier League for the 2020/21 season, which occurred beyond the expiry of his original contract.

Leeds fans flocked to the tweet from journalist James Marshment relaying the claims coming out of Germany to show their thoughts on the saga.

What exactly did these Leeds fans have to say?

“Proof Orta is human and he’s made some bad signings in his time as well as good”

Augustin had a tricky 2020/21 campaign in France which saw the forward feature only three times for Nantes in Ligue 1 for a total of 33 combined minutes (via Transfermarkt).

Going by the reaction of these Leeds fans, it is apparent they are far from impressed by this ongoing saga and would like to see some clarity on the situation.
