Leeds United fans have been reacting to footage of Kalvin Phillips that has emerged on social media.

The 25-year-old has had an incredible season, helping his hometown team finish 9th in the table during their first campaign back in the Premier League, and following that up by starting every game for England as they reached the final of the European Championship.

Can you remember where Leeds finished in these league seasons? First up: 2018/19

And after all that work, you would imagine that he would need plenty of rest and recuperation ahead of what is likely going to be another tiring season at the club under Marcelo Bielsa and his methods.

However, it looks as if that won’t be the case, as speaking at an event, captured by @andybarker80, he confirmed that he will only be getting 11 days off before he has to return to Thorp Arch.

And when the footage was shared online, there were a number of Leeds fans that were on hand to talk about it, many of whom couldn’t contain their laughter at how tough the Bielsa regime is to make him come back so soon after the summer he had:

“Ok Kalvin you’ve had a fantastic international tournament I’ll give you 11 days and it’s back to murderball”

“11 Days? Ouch I mean I know Kalvin is a beast and probably doesn’t want a lot of rest but I would have been fine with him taking 3 weeks at least and I’m sure Bielsa wouldn’t have given him trouble for it. Guess he really wants to be 100% ready for opening day against Man U.”
“11 days off. That’s rough”
“11 days off Bielsa is relentless”
“10 days, poor lad”
“Seems I was wrong. To be honest he has one hell of an engine on him”

Do you think Kalvin Phillips was England's best player of the tournament?

Hopefully, he manages to come through the workload without any issues, otherwise he might end up being a victim of the perceived ‘Bielsa Burnout’.
