Leeds United fans have been reacting to the latest news and rumours that surround the football club.

This comes as the official Leeds United Twitter account announced that Stuart Dallas, who has been an important player under Marcelo Bielsa, has signed a new deal by penning a new three-year deal with the Whites.

Fans were quick to share their thoughts on the deal…

This is the signing of the summer. He is one of those players who is not a ‘big name’ but has consistently been our best player and played all over the pitch. A true asset to the club and a genuine role model for future players @dallas_stuart

Judging by the responses to Leeds’ tweet, supporters are absolutely buzzing at the news of a new deal for the Northern Irishman, who has been at Leeds since 2015 when he joined the club from Brentford.

Dallas started in all 38 games in the Premier League for the Lilywhites last season, scoring eight goals, including a brace at the Etihad Stadium against Manchester City. Dallas also provided two assists during the campaign and received an average WhoScored match rating of 6.87 for his performances in the top flight.

The Northern Ireland international was used mainly as a left-back and got a good return for the Yorkshire side as he played in five different positions this season being utilised as a left-back, right-back, right-midfield, central midfield, and even as an attacking midfielder, with his versatility showing just how useful he is for Bielsa and just why his contract extension has delighted these supporters.
