Lots of Leeds United fans have been talking about an update regarding Pablo Hernandez that emerged on social media.

Super Deporte has recently reported about the situation of Hernandez, claiming that Spanish third-tier side Castellon have already contacted the midfielder regarding a potential move and have spoken directly to the player, who happens to be a shareholder of the club.

But Hernandez hasn’t responded to the offers yet and is also looking to play at a higher level, having been in the process of looking at other potential options, too.

This news was reported by journalist James Marshment and many Leeds fans began talking about the update.

While 36-year-old Hernandez wasn’t a regular for Leeds in the 2020/21 campaign, he was a constant part of the club’s side in their time in the Championship. He directly contributed to 24 goals in the 2018/19 season, also scoring nine goals and assisting just as many times in the 2019/20 promotion season (as per WhoScored).

Therefore, it is easy to see why fans are still so concerned over what the future holds for the Spaniard, who left the club at the end of last season.

Leeds' all-time top Premier League goalscorer is Mark Viduka but how many did he score?

Even though he wasn’t regularly involved in the 2020/21 season, he still managed to grab a couple of assists. So he might still be a useful player but since he’s 36 now, it is perhaps time for Leeds fans to move on from him and look forward to seeing the club sign a younger player to replace the midfielder.
