Many Leeds fans have been talking about the latest tweet from Junior Firpo that recently emerged on social media.

New signing Firpo recently posted a couple of images of himself training in a Leeds jersey, with one image showing the ball at his feet.

The defender posted the pictures along with a caption saying that he can’t wait to start playing in the club’s shirt and he’s looking forward to the 2021/22 season.

Leeds start their Premier League campaign with a trip to Old Trafford as they face Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United.

Firpo’s tweet drew the attention of many Leeds fans, who began talking about the former Barcelona man.

What did LUFC fans make of Firpo’s tweet?

“Welcome to the Leeds United family Junior Firpo, I’m sure that you will fit in well. Enjoy being coached by one of the best coaches that the world has to offer in Marcelo Bielsa. #MOT.”

“Can’t wait to see you in action. Welcome to the best club in the world. And obviously the best fans you’ll have anywhere..”

These Leeds fans are clearly excited by the idea of seeing Firpo play for their club.

Firpo arrived at the club for a fee of £13 million earlier this summer and since ex-Leeds left-back Ezgjan Alioski departed as a free agent, the ex-Barca man could well get some regular minutes at left-back next season.

Leeds' all-time top Premier League goalscorer is Mark Viduka but how many did he score?

He couldn’t play regularly for the Catalans during the 2020/21 campaign and he’d need regular football to thrive at Leeds. His time at Real Betis shows that he can contribute to goals too, so Leeds fans have every reason to be excited about his debut.
