Derby County fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest piece of news to emerge concerning their club.

This comes after Derby journalist Ryan Conway shared a post on his official Twitter page that contained an article from The Athletic.

The article revealed that Midlands club have had their embargo relaxed by the EFL and can now sign up to five players this summer.

This post then gathered a lot of replies from Rams supporters, who were quick to share their thoughts on this news.

So, what did these Derby fans have to say in response to Conway’s post about the club’s transfer embargo?

Will be interesting to see if a couple more are sacrificed to get others in #dcfc #dcfcfans

@lavenderben

“Massive news”

@wragg_nick

“That’s good news”

@ChezzyBarker

“Got to be 3 centre-halves, another striker and probably Morrison I’d guess”

@Kingkennyl

“Wouldn’t focus on the attacking players, just get Morrison, Wisdom, Davies, Mengi and Jag/Stearman in, we need centre backs and cover in those positions. No offence to Aluko and Baldock but we can live to fight without them until it’s lifted properly (hopefully)”

@MSaybul

“I’d take Aluko over Morrison. Happy for us to gamble but he’s a nice to have nothing more surely. If we can only loan till January does this rule Mengi out?”

@lunar_werewolf

Looking at the replies to this post, it seems as though these Derby fans are happy to hear that the club’s transfer embargo, which was put on the club until they “refiled their accounts for 2016, 2017 and 2018,” has now been relaxed.

The article also claimed that Curtis Davies, Ravel Morrison and Andre Wisdom are “set to be the first to be offered contracts.”

In our view, while this is good news for the club, it will now put pressure on them to make the right decisions regarding who they offer contracts to or else they could find themselves in another relegation battle as they were at the end of last season.
