Judging by the replies, Wigan fans are ecstatic at Power re-signing for the club.

The 27-year-old was amongst seven players who were released by Sunderland this summer following their League One play-off semi-final defeat to Lincoln City.

The midfielder scored five goals and provided three assists in the league for Sunderland last season and returns to the Latics after departing the DW Stadium in January 2019, after originally signing for Wigan in July 2015 from Tranmere Rovers.

On returning to Wigan, the Birkenhead-born midfielder told the club’s website:

“I’ve always kept an eye on the Club, and I always felt that I would return one day so to be back here is a great feeling.

“I’m coming back here to hopefully create more memories and I can’t wait to get back to the DW Stadium.”
