Sheffield Wednesday fans have been reacting to the latest update involving Josh Windass’ situation at the club.

This comes as Yorkshire Live reporter Dom Howson tweeted quashing reports that Josh Windass would be available for a fee of £5 million.

According to The Sun’s Alan Nixon, Windass had been given a £5 million price tag as the Owls brave out interest from teams in the second tier.

The 27-year-old has been linked with a move to multiple Championship clubs including Millwall, Birmingham City, Fulham, QPR, Stoke City and Preston North End this summer following the Owls’ relegation, but it remains to be seen whether the midfielder will remain at Wednesday or move elsewhere this summer.

The post gathered a number of replies from Owls supporters who shared their responses…

Judging by the reaction to the tweet, Wednesday fans are happy with the news as they want Windass to remain an Owl.

Sheffield Wednesday are preparing for life in League One next season after their relegation from the Championship following their draw with Derby County on the final day of the season.

Windass, who is the son of former Premier League striker Dean Windass, is an important player for the Owls and played 41 times for them last season in the Championship, scoring nine times and providing six assists for the Owls.
