Rangers continue to be linked with a move to bring Jonson Clarke-Harris to Ibrox, but Peterborough United Director of Football Barry Fry insists that he will recommend that the club do not sell him this summer.

Clarke-Harris enjoyed a superlative season for Posh, who won promotion to the Championship after a second-placed finish in League One.

In total, the 26-year-old scored 33 goals in all competitions in 48 games, while also laying on three assists.

Will Rangers win the league this season?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

Clarke-Harris only joined Posh in the summer but there is every chance that he could leave the club in this transfer window amid serious links with the Scottish giants.

Rangers are coming off an unbeaten season in which they won the Premiership title at a canter, and are on the lookout for players to strengthen Steven Gerrard’s squad.

Clarke-Harris has a contract until 2024 and Posh would expect to receive a big bid if he is to leave.

But Fry says he will make the recommendation to the club’s board that they keep him at London Road.

Speaking exclusively to This Is Futbol, he said: “I think whoever bids, I’ll put it to the three owners, and my recommendation will be ‘don’t sell him’, but they don’t always take notice of me! I told them not to sell Ivan, I told them I could get more money.”
