Michael Ball believes Rangers could net a huge profit if they decide to sell Connor Goldson this summer.

The Scottish club snaffled the defender away from Brighton & Hove Albion in 2018, paying a reported fee of £3m for him.

Goldson has gone on to make 162 appearances for the Scottish champions, making 33 outings in the Premiership this season, scoring four goals, as Steven Gerrard’s side won the title and went unbeaten in doing so.

Will Rangers win the league this season?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

He has been linked with a move away in previous transfer windows, with West Ham United touted with an interest in signing him ahead of the summer transfer window, per Football Insider.

That has yet to come to anything, of course, but Ball believes the club could bank a tidy profit if they do decide to cash in during the summer.

Goldson is valued at £4.95m by Transfermarkt but the ex-Rangers star thinks they could get a bigger fee than that if he does move on.

Speaking exclusively to This Is Futbol, he said: “If he moves on, I think the club will obviously make a good profit on him. He’s probably touching into his prime now.”
