Lots of Celtic supporters have been talking about the latest news regarding Olivier Ntcham that emerged on social media.

Greek journalist Giannis Chorianopoulos has recently posted an update about the situation of Ntcham, revealing that officials from AEK Athens are currently ‘optimistic’ that the midfielder will be a free agent at the start of July. The journalist also stated that the Greek club and the midfielder have already agreed personal terms regarding a move.

According to Transfermarkt, Celtic spent a fee of £4.5 million to sign Ntcham from Manchester City and he’s still only 25. Since the Hoops spent a fair amount of money on him, they’d want some return on a potential sale this summer.

So it would make sense for Celtic to make sure that he doesn’t leave for free and they earn as much as they can from his sale, so they don’t incur an overall loss in the deal.
