This comes after Celtic-focused Twitter account @CelticGossip shared a post relaying news originally published in an article from 90Min.

Celtic fans can you get 8/8 on this quiz on forgotten players. First up, who is this?

The report claims that Hendry ‘has committed to joining Belgian club KV Oostende permanently’ after they activated an option in his deal to sign him following his loan from the Scottish giants.

This post then gathered a lot of replies from Hoops supporters, who were not shy in sharing their thoughts on this latest claim.

So, what did these Celtic fans have to say in response to this latest claim about Hendry?

“Bye jack”

@Jimmilaw

“Let him go, rotten anyway.”

@BrianMccarvel

“Can’t blame the kid”

@BhoyBkk

“All those saying he never got a chance, there’s a player in there etc need to wise up he was beyond hopeless at Celtic it was painfully embarrassing watching him trying to play”

@deckybhoy1888

“At last a bit of good news”

@ssteviewalls

“Best of luck to him but not good enough”

@MrAmazi17568059

“Won’t be missed…nowhere near good enough”

@DavidOReilly3

“Why on earth would he want to come back to a club, that gave him no support, no coaching, and a club in the middle of eating itself alive? Good luck to him, hope he does well in the future.”

@ticman2013

Looking at the replies to this post, it seems that these Celtic fans aren’t particularly surprised or bothered that Hendry could end up at KV Oostende on a permanent deal and not back at .

Should Celtic try and keep hold of Jack Hendry this summer?

Yes

Yes

No

No

In our view, with Celtic saying goodbye to Shane Duffy last month and potentially saying the same to Kristoffer Ajer this summer as well, perhaps this could mean Hendry would have a decent shot at getting some regular playing time at the club next season, so the club could well end up regretting allowing Hendry to join KV Oostende permanently.
