Celtic fans on Facebook have been responding to the latest claim concerning former interim coach John Kennedy.

This comes after Celtic news Facebook page Celtic Insider shared a post relaying news originally published by the Daily Mail (via Daily Record) who claimed that the Parkhead club would be “happy” to keep hold of Kennedy and Gavin Strachan as a part of their coaching staff alongside newly-appointed manager Ange Postecoglou, who is said to be ‘in no rush’ to bring his own coaching staff in.

Celtic fans, can you get 8/8 on this quiz on forgotten players? First up: who is this?

This post then grabbed the attention of a lot of Celtic supporters, who were not shy in sharing their thoughts and feelings on this latest update.

So, what did these Celtic fans have to say in response to this latest claim about Kennedy and Strachan?

Looking at the replies to this post, it seems that these Celtic fans are not too keen on the idea of Kennedy and Strachan staying at the club and being a part of Postecoglou’s coaching staff moving forward.

Do you think Kennedy and Strachan should be part of Postecoglou's coaching staff?

Yes

Yes

No

No

Given how Celtic only won four out of the 10 games that Kennedy had in charge of the team for the final stretch of the season, it’s easy to see why these fans think it would be best if he moved on from the club and wasn’t involved with the coaching staff anymore.

In our view, while Kennedy and Strachan would be able to offer Postecoglou some knowledge of the club, the league and the players, it perhaps would be better if they had a completely fresh start in terms of the coaching at the club moving forwards.
