Celtic fans, can you get 8/8 on this quiz on forgotten players? First up: who is this?

The post also said that 18-year-old striker “agreed terms with Celtic this week and will join” their reserves ahead of the Colts’ debut in the Scottish Lowland League.

This announcement then caught the attention of a lot of Hoops supporters, who were not shy in sharing their thoughts on this latest development.

So, what did these Celtic fans have to say in response to this post about Dawson’s arrival?

“We’re gonna win the league”

“Can’t believe we signed this lad he’s a class act and Big Ange will ease him this next season 100% this lad is gifted.”

@JPbhoy2

“Interesting”

@90MinuteCynic

“If he’s as anywhere near as good as the last striker we signed from Scunny we are on to a winner!”

@MH67___

“WOOOO SIGNING”

@soroszn

“Michael Dawson’s nephew, that’s class man haha”

@Kevingallache14

Looking at the replies to this post, it seems that these Celtic supporters are feeling fairly positive about this latest signing at the club.

In our view, while it’s good that Celtic have secured a new face for their reserves that could potentially be a figure for the future, considering how far away they were from Rangers at the top of the SPFL table at the end of their latest campaign, perhaps the club’s main focus should be on signing some first-team players that can help the squad fight for the title next time around.

Are you happy with this signing?

No

Especially with the club saying goodbye to Scott Brown, and the fact that they have the likes of Diego Laxalt, Mohamed Elyounoussi and Jonjoe Kenny coming to the end of their loan deals at the end of the month, you would imagine players that would be expected to make more of an impact are still to arrive throughout the summer.

Nevertheless, fans seem pleased with this particular bit of business.
