Many Celtic supporters have been discussing a news update regarding Ange Postecoglou that emerged on social media.
Journalist Anthony Joseph recently posted an update about Ange Postecoglou on Twitter. He stated that Celtic have now applied for an exemption for the Australian to be handed the go-ahead to manage in Europe. Postecoglou doesn’t currently have a UEFA Pro Licence, but Celtic seem ‘confident’ that an exemption can be granted in this case.
Can Celtic appoint a manager before the CL qualifiers?
Yes
No
The journalist also stated that the Hoops are now talking to Yokohama F Marinos about the compensation they’d pay for him.
Joseph’s tweet drew the attention of many Celtic supporters, who made their views clear about this update.
Many of these Celtic fans are angry at the news and they are annoyed at the fact that the managerial process is taking quite a while.
Joseph also confirmed that the process that Celtic want to start could take several weeks to complete, according to UEFA. In his article for Sky Sports, he also stated that because of this, Celtic’s potential announcement of Postecoglou as manager could be delayed.
So this is another hurdle that Celtic may have to overcome, and considering that the Champions League qualifiers start at the end of July, time is now running out to make the appointment before the season begins.
