Former Wolves striker Steve Bull believes AS Roma would be getting a quality goalkeeper in Rui Patricio and has praised the shot-stopper in an exclusive interview with This Is Futbol.

Patricio could be on his way out of Molineux this summer, with talk about a move to the Stadio Olimpico refusing to go away.

According to Sky Sports, Roma are in talks to sign the 33-year-old as Jose Mourinho looks to strengthen his side ahead of the new Serie A campaign.

Should Wolves sell Neves?

No way!

And Bull, who is more than pleased with Patricio’s contribution to Wolves since joining the club back in 2018, thinks the Portugal international would be quite the signing for the Giallorossi.

“It’d be like catch of the season. It’d be like when we signed [Ruben] Neves, [Daniel] Podence, [Pedro] Neto,” Bull said.

“He’s done a fantastic job for us. All we can do is say fair play and well done and get the next best one, one better than him, which is going to take some doing.”

Alongside the likes of Neves and Neto, Patricio has helped form part of that Portuguese core that has helped Wolves to be such a success over the last few years.

With these players, the Midlands club were even able to qualify for the Europa League after finishing seventh back in the 2018/19 season, so losing someone like Patricio would be a blow.
