Steve Bull has urged to sign West Brom goalkeeper Sam Johnstone, who he describes as “world class”.

According to The Athletic, Wolves are interested in signing the ex-Manchester United shot-stopper from their Black Country rivals following their immediate relegation back to the Championship.

Would Sissoko be a good signing for Wolves?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

Johnstone, who’s on the radar of several Premier League clubs, too, saw his excellent form for the Baggies rewarded by Gareth Southgate following his inclusion in his 26-man squad for the Euros.

The 28-year-old made his debut in the pre-tournament friendly against Romania earlier this month and could make the trip across the Black Country this summer, with Wolves’ Rui Patricio expected to join Roma.

Johnstone turned in some quite brilliant performances for West Brom last season, with one last-gasp save from Harry Maguire against Manchester United leading to high praise from Gary Lineker, who called him sensational.

To kick off this quiz on Romain Saiss, what squad number does the defensive midfielder currently wear for the Old Gold?

He’s been with the Baggies for three seasons, but has just 12 months remaining on his deal, meaning he is likely to be available on the cheap.

Bull exclusively told This is Futbol:

“He’s kept his feet firmly on the ground, and you could do with someone like that.

“They’re not all big time Charlie’s, so get him down the club all day long because he’s a world class goalkeeper and a great shotshopper.”
