Wolves were rocked by the news of Pedro Neto’s injury last season which saw him fracture his patella, so will likely want to bring in a new winger this summer.

It could potentially be a younger one who would be fine not starting every game when Neto is back, and believes that could be Francisco Trincao.

Trincao has been tipped for an exit this summer as Barcelona look to raise funds before trying to sing players such as Aymeric Laporte and Bernardo Silva, who have both been linked with a move to Catalonia to link up once again with Sergio Aguero and Eric Garcia.

The Portuguese winger arrived for a hefty transfer fee of £26 million, but under Ronald Koeman he was handed just two La Liga starts and completed 90 minutes once – but in that game he netted a brace.

If Trincao was able to perform under a fellow countryman, Bruno Lage, and of course several fellow Portuguese players at Molineux, he could potentially look to take Neto’s starting place in the side even when he returns from injury, and that’s something Bull could see happening as he exclusively told This is Futbol:

I think Trincao could replace Neto at least until he gets back and then when he does return, it’s up to all the wingers to earn those starting spots.”

Lage will want to certainly add some strength in depth this summer as Nuno Espirito Santo liked to operate with a much smaller squad but last season showed how risky that is because a few injuries can totally derail your season.

Barcelona are reportedly looking to make a profit on the £26 million they paid Braga last summer with Juventus and Wolves both being quoted a transfer fee of £30 million to take him away from Barcelona.
