Journalist Samuel Luckhurst has recently talked about West Ham United’s transfer target Axel Tuanzebe, providing an update about his future.
The Hammers have been linked with a move for Tuanzebe recently, with ExWHUemployee having previously mentioned about the club’s interest in the defender. He even stated that David Moyes likes the Man United defender and a deal can be offered.
Luckhurst appeared on the Manchester is Red podcast and he talked about potential exits from Old Trafford. One player that he focused on was Tuanzebe and he revealed that the defender is looking for a loan move, especially considering that the Red Devils are looking at targets like Raphael Varane.
Do you want West Ham to sign Tuanzebe?
The Manchester Evening News journalist said: “Tuanzebe is another player who’s going to go on a season-long loan next season.
“He’s insistent on that and understandably so, given the state of play at centre-half with the interest in Varane and [Pau] Torres and trying to get one of them in.”
TIF Thoughts on Tuanzebe to West Ham…
While previous claims from ExWHUemployee appeared to confirm his availability for loan, Luckhurst’s claim suggests that Tuanzebe is keen to seek a move as opposed to being forcibly pushed out of the first team.
He’s clearly someone who has enough experience of playing first-team football and he’s still only 23. While injuries have been a problem for him, he could join West Ham on loan without the need for the Hammers to pay a high fee for him.
Fabian Balbuena’s contract expires at the end of June and West Ham may need to replace him. So signing Tuanzebe may be a good plan – at least on a loan deal.
