ExWHUemployee has been speaking on the latest edition of The West Ham Way podcast about David Moyes’ future at West Ham United.

Nice easy one to start off with. How much do you think Declan Rice is worth?

The Scotsman led the Hammers to an excellent sixth-place finish that secured them Europa League football, and he has apparently agreed terms on a new contract.

However, he has not signed the deal yet, and with his old club, Everton, on the lookout for a new manager, Moyes has been linked with a return to Goodison Park.

Ex, though, seems to believe that his new contract is sorted and there is no need to worry.

He said: “Now people are panicking about him and I must admit – and this is not ITK, this is just me being a bit paranoid – there is a part of me that thinks, why have they not just got him to sign this contract on paper now?

“He has said that he would sign the deal and that he’s happy to remain at West Ham for the next three years; he hasn’t actually put the pen on paper, though, [and] obviously, Everton are looking for a manager.

“He’s agreed in provision to join West Ham, and the board and everyone that I speak to at the club – not that I spoke to the board, but I’ve been told – are very, very confident that he has agreed the deal and that there’s nothing to worry about.”

Do you think Moyes will sign his new contract?

TIF Thoughts on Moyes…

Moyes’ current deal with West Ham is due to expire at the end of this month, so they don’t have that long left to sort out his new contract.

However, it appears as if everyone is pretty confident of keeping Moyes, and it is just a matter of officially announcing the deal.

The Hammers were brilliant, and Moyes was deservedly nominated for Manager of the Year, but he lost out to Pep Guardiola, which we thought was a shame given that before the season started, West Ham were expected to finish in the relegation zone.

So, Moyes and his team proved everyone wrong, and we hope that the club announce his new contract soon.
