Many Tottenham fans have been reacting to the latest news and rumours surrounding their football club this morning on Twitter.
This morning at 9am, the Premier League released the fixtures for the upcoming 2021/22 season and Tottenham Hotspur fans were met with the news that they would get their season underway with a home tie against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.
Tottenham will also face London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea back-to-back in September in what is a tough-looking start to the season.
As Tottenham’s official Twitter account relayed the fixtures, many fans took to Twitter to voice their feelings on the scheduling of the new season.
So how exactly did Tottenham fans react to the transfer rumours?
“I KNEW IT WOULD BE CITY”
Judging by the reaction of many Spurs fans, they expect it to be a very tough start for them as they face last season’s champions. It’s fair to say there doesn’t seem to be much optimism amongst the selected Spurs fans as plenty voiced their displeasure at the fixture list.
At the moment, it remains unknown who will be managing Spurs from the dugout in the opening game as Daniel Levy continues to search for Jose Mourinho’s replacement. One thing is for certain, whoever is appointed as the new manager of Spurs has a very, very tough start to life in the Premier League.
