Judging by the replies to the tweet, many Spurs fans are buzzing with the news that Son is likely to remain at Spurs, for now at least.
Son’s partnership with Harry Kane has become something of a revelation at Spurs, who ended the season in seventh place in the league. The duo broke a record earlier in the season as they combined for more goals than any other duo during a single campaign, combining for goals on 14 occasions, beating the previous record of 13 set by Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton.
Son scored 17 times in the league for Spurs this past season and assisted 10 in what was a fantastic individual season for the South Korean, despite his side finishing out the top six.
With intense rumours surrounding Harry Kane involving a potential departure from north London this campaign, Spurs tying Son down to a new deal is brilliant news for Spurs and their fans.
