Mason was given the job as Tottenham’s first-team manager on an interim basis after the sacking of Jose Mourinho in April after 17 months at the club, leading them to a seventh-place finish in the league.
It was reported last week that Mason has been put on standby to coach Spurs at the start of pre-season as their search for a manager continues to drag.
Spurs’ search for a manager has not been a successful one, with talks breaking down with Antonio Conte before Paulo Fonseca breaking down at the last minute.
It seems these fans are resigned to the prospect of Mason taking charge despite the club having had plenty of time to install a permanent successor to Mourinho.
