Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting to claims surrounding Nuno Espirito Santo as the club continue their search for a new manager.
The candidates for Tottenham Hotspur appear to be growing day by day as they continue to be turned down by some big-name managers. As a result, they are having to look down other avenues to try and find a permanent replacement for Jose Mourinho, having gone more than two months without one.
According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio (via Sky Sports), Spurs are currently negotiating with the former Wolves boss to take charge in north London, claiming that ‘talks are advanced’.
The 47-year-old Portuguese manager certainly knows how to take a team forward, having overseen a great transformation at Molineux, and with his connections to football agent Jorge Mendes, there will potentially be plenty of players for him to choose from to bring to the club.
However, when the news was relayed to fans online, there didn’t seem to be much enthusiasm about him taking the job:
“A poor man’s Jose Mourinho who has won nothing”
Is Nuno a good fit for Tottenham?
Yes
No
It is clear that these supporters won’t take too kindly to Nuno’s appointment, although given the amount of people they have gone through, Spurs fans really can’t afford to be picky at this rate, can they?
