Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest piece of transfer news to emerge concerning the north London club.

This comes after Spurs news Twitter account @THFCReports shared a post on their page relaying news originally published in an article from the Daily Mirror.

Starting with a current Tottenham star. How many PL goals has Harry Kane scored for Spurs?

The article claims that Manchester United attacker Anthony Martial is “expected to be sold to make way” for Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, who is reportedly closing in on a move to Old Trafford.

The article then claimed that Tottenham are “interested” in the Frenchman.

This post then gathered a number of replies from numerous Tottenham supporters who were not shy in sharing their thoughts on this latest claim.

So, what did these Spurs fans have to say about this claim linking the club with Martial?

“He’s reliable We’re finished”

@thfckay

“No thanks.”

@TottenhamXG

“We are a joke”

@Craig1Osullivan

“No Thankyou”

@p14i03n19k95y

“Noooooo pls”

@cwing_zzz

“We take anyone’s cast-offs.”

@fraser8814

Looking at the replies to this post, it seems as though this group of Tottenham fans would not be open to the idea of their club making a move for Martial this summer.

Would you like to see Spurs sign Martial this summer?

Yes

No

No

Given how the Frenchman only managed to score four goals and provide three assists in 22 appearances for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side in the Premier League this season, it’s understandable why these fans aren’t too keen on potentially seeing him in a Spurs shirt anytime soon.

However, with Harry Kane being linked with a move to Manchester City, perhaps potentially adding Martial to their squad could be a good option for them if Kane were to leave this summer.
