Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting to the latest claims about Paulo Fonseca’s emergence as the apparent frontrunner for the vacant manager’s role.

Things have been extremely complicated for Tottenham in the past few days, with reports suggesting that alongside the expected appointment of Fabio Paratici as sporting director, Antonio Conte was set to take charge, only for talks between the two sides broke down, with both parties seemingly having some doubts.

Starting with a current Tottenham star. How many PL goals has Harry Kane scored for Spurs?

The latest name to be thrown into the discussion is that of former AS Roma boss Paulo Fonseca, with reports suggesting that he and the club are ‘in advanced talks’ over a three-year contract.

He’s a name that has certainly come out of the blue, quite literally in this case as journalist Francesco Porzio has claimed that Fonseca wasn’t even an option for Tottenham a few days ago, with the situation now changing with the reported imminent appointment of Paratici.

This news was relayed to fans by social media outlet @TheSpursExpress, where there seemed to be a number of fans who weren’t too happy with how the Paratici seemed to be running things at the moment:

“Still shouldn’t be an option.”

“Paratici is a fraud in my books”
“What a disgrace this director”
“Fabio Paratici out”
“SACK PARATICI”
“From Poch to Conte to Ten Haag and now on the verge to complete a deal with a manager who was replaced by our old manager because his contract did not get renewed. Sums up Spurs for you ladies and gentlemen.”
“It is the end”

Would you like Fonseca as the next Spurs manager?

All this seems a bit harsh considering Paratici is still not even formally in charge yet, and hopefully these fans will be the first to apologise if this does end up being a good hire in the end.
