Lots of Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting on Twitter to a claim to emerge regarding the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

According to Sky Sports, Anthony Joshua’s planned world heavyweight title fight against Oleksandr Usyk is set to be staged at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Anthony Joshua was scheduled to fight Kubrat Pulev last June in N17, however, as a result of the pandemic, the fight was cancelled.

The claim emerges at a time when the north London club are still searching for a permanent replacement for Jose Mourinho who was sacked back in April.

Spurs fans flocked to a tweet from The Spurs Web relaying the claim from Sky Sports to share their thoughts, reacting to the news to pile in on chairman Daniel Levy.

What exactly did these Spurs fans have to say?

“Great news”

That could pay Conte’s salary!”

Tottenham are reportedly operating on an estimated £200m loss in revenue as a result of the pandemic which saw the club take out a £175m bank loan last year.

Going by the reaction of these Spurs fans it is apparent they view this as a revenue-generating event which is much needed by the club amid the expected financial struggles in football following the last year’s events.
