Tottenham Hotspur journalist has been speaking on his latest YouTube video to discuss potential summer departures.

Gold was speaking about the new director of football Fabio Paratici and the effect his arrival will have on the way the north London club will operate.

Will Paratici prove a good appointment?

The 48-year-old will officially depart Serie A giants Juventus after an 11-year stint with the Old Lady and be in charge of the club’s “sporting operations” from 1st July.

The Italian joins Spurs on the back of an underwhelming 2020/21 campaign and Gold revealed one of the first steps Paratici has taken to bring change to the Spurs squad.

He said: “I understand – and I said this in a story yesterday which went down well with a lot of people – that a number of Tottenham Hotspur players have been told, in the most politest of terms, you can have a move away.

“Seek yourself a move away, because you’re probably not going to be likely to be part of the plans next season.”

TIF Thoughts on players departing…

This could make a great start to life at Spurs for Paratici. For the first time in 12 years, Spurs finished outside of the top six in the 2020/21 League campaign so many feel a summer rebuild is on the cards.

It has been reported Spurs right-back Serge would like a move away this summer and if that is the case we think Paratici will make sure that happens in the interest of the club.

The 2021/22 campaign will be a big one for Spurs as they look to make a return to Champions League football and it sounds like Paratici is already putting plans in place to make sure they have a squad to compete.
