Tottenham Hotspur legend Graham Roberts insists that supporters would be open to selling Tanguy Ndombele this summer.

The France international has somewhat struggled to make a real impression at Spurs since his move from Lyon back in 2019.

He made a total of 33 appearances in the Premier League this season under Jose Mourinho but he only scored three goals and provided two assists.

Should Spurs cash in on Ndombele this summer?

Roberts remains confused as to what Ndombele’s best position is, and he believes that a number of supporters would be willing to cash in should a big bid be tabled.

Spurs, of course, paid a club-record fee of £53.8m to bring him into the club from Lyon, and he has yet to truly repay that fee during his spell in north London.

Ndombele has, though, been linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer and Roberts believes that fans would be more than happy to see him move on, provided the money were reinvested into the squad.

Speaking exclusively to This Is Futbol, Roberts said: “We don’t know what he is. He runs in little holes and does a lot of tricks.

“When he first started, he scored against Aston Villa and then, you know.

“If you talk to the fans, I do a lot of things with the fans, he’s in and out, they’d rather sell him and buy somebody else. It’s a lot of money, £65 or £70 million, it’s a lot of money.”
