Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest update from football journalist Fabrizio Romano concerning Lilywhites attacker Heung-min Son and his future at the north London club.

This comes after Romano shared a post on his official Twitter page revealing that Tottenham are still in talks with Son’s to reach an agreement on a contract extension for the player.

Starting with a current Tottenham star. How many goals has Harry Kane scored for Spurs?

Romano also added that the club are ‘confident’ that an agreement will be reached soon after they get clarification on who their next permanent manager will be.

This post from Romano then quickly gathered a lot of replies from Tottenham supporters who were not shy in sharing their thoughts on this latest update.

So, what did these Spurs fans have to say in response to this latest tweet from Romano about Son’s potential new deal?

“Please get it done idk what I’ll do if he was to go to”

“Bigger than a new signing”

“This literally just made my day”

Looking at the replies to this post from Romano, it’s clear to see that these Spurs fans are delighted with this news and would be over the moon to see Son put pen to paper on a new deal that would see him remain at the north London club for the foreseeable future.

Given how the 28-year-old managed to score 22 goals in 51 appearances for Spurs this season across all competitions, this not only shows how significant a player Son is for the team in an attacking sense but also how important he is overall based on how many appearances he made throughout the season.

Are you confident Son will sign a new deal at Spurs?

This makes it understandable why not only would the club want him to sign a new deal but also why these Spurs fans would be so happy to see it happen.

In our view, with Harry Kane possibly leaving the club this summer, Spurs will have to make sure they don’t potentially end up losing Son too.
