Newcastle United fans on social media have been reacting to the performance of Martin Dubravka during Euro 2020.
The Slovakian has had a tough time this season for his club, being ruled out for the first part of the season through an injury that he sustained before the season even started, and then bide his time when he returned with Karl Darlow holding on to the number one spot ahead of him.
But he worked his way back into Steve Bruce’s thoughts and got the number one spot back just in time to be ready for this summer’s European Championships and things started well for Dubravka and Slovakia as they beat Poland in their opening game.
And that good start looked as if it was going continue in their second game against Sweden with Dubravka at the forefront as he made three saves to try and keep the opposition at bay, including one incredible stop from Ludwig Augustinsson that garnered plenty of reaction from Newcastle fans watching the game:
“Dkm Dubravka is COOKING at the Euros”
Is Dubravka one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League?
Yes
No
It was just a shame that he had to go and ruin it all by giving away the penalty that led to the winning goal.
