A lot of Newcastle United fans have flocked to a post from Sean McCormick, which includes a link to an article from The Chronicle by Lee Ryder concerning Freddie Woodman and Joe Willock.
It claims that Arsenal want to sign an English goalkeeper, and that the Toon could throw Woodman in as part of a swap deal for Willock.
Newcastle want to sign the 21-year-old who scored eight goals in his loan spell for the Toon, but these Toon fans don’t want to see Woodman go even though they would like to see the Arsenal man return to St. James’ Park.
“Absolutely not quality English keepers are as rare as hens’ teeth. There should be no reason why we can’t pay cash up front without having to sacrifice a top prospect…… But Mike Ashley!!”
“This is the only way I’d say it’s acceptable to let Woodman go”
“Hell yes x”
Do you think this is a good idea?
Yes, it would be a good deal
No, we have to keep Woodman
Woodman has spent the last two seasons on loan at Swansea City and played nearly 100 games for the Swans, while he has only made four senior appearances for Newcastle.
So, you can see why he might want to go and why the Toon might be willing to let him go.
This post continued to attract Newcastle fans.
“100% Freddie will push for a move regardless”
“In a heartbeat.”
“Absolutely no brainer”
Willock could be an excellent signing for Newcastle, so we think whatever they have to do to get him back, they should do it, but it is clear that some Toon fans don’t want to lose Woodman.
